How we check every figure

On money matters, approximate information is expensive. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

The sources we use

  1. Official texts and schedules: Israel Tax Authority (gov.il), National Insurance Institute (btl.gov.il), Bank of Israel, the Official Gazette (Reshumot) for laws and amendments, treaty texts on irs.gov and gov.uk.
  2. Reliable secondary sources, used to cross-check and never alone: Kol Zchut, payroll software circulars (Malam, Hilan), publications of Israeli CPA firms.
  3. Never: forums, Facebook groups, unsourced generated content, or sites that do not date their figures.

What the "Updated" date means

It is the date on which a member of the editorial team re-read the whole page and re-checked every amount against its source. A page whose date is more than a year old is flagged for re-verification.

How the calculators work

All parameters (brackets, credit point value, thresholds and contribution rates) are stored in a single file per tax year. When the authorities publish a new schedule, we create the following year's file, recompute the examples in the guides, and state on each page what changed. Calculators give an estimate: they do not know your full situation and do not replace a professional calculation.

Errors and corrections

Every reported error is checked within 48 hours. If confirmed, the page is corrected and the correction is noted at the bottom of the page with its date. Report an error through the contact page.

Independence

Partner professionals do not review our guides before publication and have no say over their content. Affiliate links are labelled as such and affect neither the order nor the content of comparisons.
